The new GT3 has been timed at an unofficial 7:40 with Porsche driving ace Walter Rohrl piloting the car for the sprightly lap. While that time may not be enough to best the 7:26 from the 638hp Corvette ZR1 but its a very impressive time nonetheless considering Rohrl posted a 7:45 in a borrowed ultra-hardcore Ferrari F430 Scuderia.
That still doesnt come close to Nissans famed 7:27 though and the Japanese car-makers are probably not impressed at the GT3s timing. However Porsche telling Motor Trend that the twin-turbo Nissan is only good for a time of 7:56 in stock US form. Thats a lot of difference, 30 seconds slower than reports from Nissan can cause some serious credibility damage.
