Aston Martin chose to redo a great part of the DBS for 2011. The center-console has been constructed in glass and the Bluetooth microphone and tire-pressure monitoring system have been upgraded per customer suggestions. Otherwise, this car was amazing just the way it was so they decided not to mess with perfection. This car is similar in many ways to the DB9, but has a longer look, bulging fenders, chiseled fascia and additional air vents. This is one tough looking car that you will love to drive.The Aston Martin DBS is so much more than just a pretty ride though. The interior is completely made to order. The main materials are faux suede and leather and these are set off with carbon fiber, piano-black wood, glass and aluminum. You get the choice of either parcel shelves or a rear seat. Either way, this car lives up to your dream and will be an amazing ride for short or long trips thanks to the two-mode adjustable suspension and supportive seats. This car does cost slightly more than some of its competitors, but owners wouldn�t give it up for the world.Choose from either a coupe or convertible version of the Aston Martin DBS. Either can be fitted with two rear seats if you desire and you will be wowed by the amount of standard equipment that comes on either model. This includes a suspension that can be electronically adjusted, xenon headlights, outside mirrors with power folding and cruise control. Also standard on the DBS are 20 inch wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, parking sensors in both the front and rear and Bluetooth.The Aston Martin DBS does not compromise on safety. This model comes with traction and stability control as well as side airbags. This is in addition to the parking sensors and carbon-ceramic disc brakes mentioned above. This car does do better on long straightaways than in hairpin turns, but overall you are getting the best of both worlds: hard-core driving and touring comfort. Once you get behind the wheel of this machine, you won�t want to drive anything else as any current owner will tell you.

Aston Martin DBS modern look

The DBS was intended to have a more "modern" look than the previous series of Aston models (the DB4 through DB6), and it incorporated a fastback style rear end and squared off front grille, atypical of Astons, but very much then in vogue in automotive design circles of the late sixties. Trademark Aston design features, such as a bonnet scoop, knock off wire wheels, and side air vents with stainless steel brightwork were however retained. The DBS was the last of the David Brown Aston Martins.

Aston Martin DB9 gets bespoke Bang & Olufsen sound system

Having already launched a bespoke audio system for the DBS in 2008, Aston Martin and Bang & Olufsen went ahead and introduced the BeoSound DB9 which has been developed and designed exclusively as an option for both DB9 Coupe and Volante variants. Among the highlights of the new audio system are the thirteen speakers positioned in ten locations around the car including two 'submergible' twin acoustic lens speakers on both sides of the dashboard.

Aston Martin has unveiled the V12-powered rag-top DBS. To be officially introduced in Geneva, the new 2+2 seater DBS Volante features a fabric top that neatly tucks away behind a sculpted tonneau cover at the touch of a button in 14 seconds. A 6.0 liter V12 engine is fitted to the car and it is believe that capable to produce 510-horsepower and 570 Nm (420 lb ft) of torque for a top speed of 191 mph (307 km/h) and a 0-100 km/h (62mph) time of 4.3 secs.

In standard specification, the DBS Volante comes with a rear-mounted six-speed manual gearbox, while for those that don't mind having a less engaging driving experience, the British firm also offers an automatic six-speed 'Touchtronic' option.

Carbon ceramic brakes is fitted as standard and the bonnet, front wings and boot lid are all made from carbon fibre. With all these fitted to the car, it is believe that it can bring the weight down for the car.

New photos of the production version of Aston Martin's Rapide sport sedan have been leaked into the web. The crew over at Autocar that released the pictures claim that Aston Martin's Porsche Panamera rival will be revealed this autumn, most likely at the 2009 Frankfurt Show in Germany. The allegedly official, computer generated images show that not much has changed in terms of design from the 2006 Detroit show Rapide concept.

The most noticeable changes concern the stronger crease that runs from the front wing vent through both doors, the redesigned front apron that does away with the side vents and the restyled rear-bumper.




The four-seater British sports saloon is based on a stretched version of the DB9's platform with power coming from a 6.0-liter V12 engine generating around 500HP. The Rapide will be the first car in the marque's history to be built out of Britain as production will be carried out by Magna Steyr at the firm's Austrian plant in Graz.
