Italdesigns Sexy BMW Nazca M12 Concept Could be Yours for $1.1 million

One of the most memorable concept models from the decade that brought us grunge, the internet, Playstation and the Prius, is Italdesigns series of BMW Nazca supercar studies. Designed by the great Giorgetto Giugiaro who was also responsible for BMWs production M1 sports car, the Nazca M12 made its debut in 1991 and was followed in by a more hardcore version called the Nazca C2 in 1992 and an open-top Spider C2 model in 1993.

Now, one of the Nazca concepts has been put up for sale by a dealer located in the Czech Republic. The car seen here is based on the body of the 1991 Nazca M12 but features an Alpina-prepped 5.7-liter V12 engine (sourced from the 750i / 850i of the era) producing 379HP.

Barely Driven BMW M1 with Less than 3,000 Miles on the Odo up for Sale on eBay

Todays eBay find brings us a seemingly immaculate BMW M1 from 1980 thats offered up for an undisclosed price. One of 455 (albeit some bring this number down to 451) examples ever built, this one is finished in a classic red hue with a black interior. Claimed to be in original condition, the seller says it has been driver a mere 4,418 kilometers or 2,747 miles since it left the Bavarian automakers factory some 31 years ago.

According to the eBay listing, the M1 was garaged for all of its life and pampered in a German private residence, before it was imported in the U.S. having surpassed the 25-year age requirement. At the time we wrote this article, the current bid on the car was US$130,500, but the reserve had not been met.

BMW M1

BMW M1: Again, not German. Actually, Lamborghini had a hand in this one. From 1978 to 1981 these cars were hand-built. These were race-cars that you could drive, uncomfortably, down the street. Mid-engined, powerful, and the 1984 Group B champion, this car was on top. They even had Andy Warhol paint one of them.

BMW M1 detail reveals

BMW has plan to bring back their supercar M1 and this news have been coming since late September. BWM M1 will compete against with Audi R8 and the Mercedes Benz SLC Gullwing. A twin turbo 3.0L straight six engine that currently powered the 335i may equipped to the BMW M1. However BMW may consider about the BMW M3 engine or the 5.0L V10 from M5 and M6. Developing an environmentally friendly supercar is not BMW's number one priority right now, but reportedly the project is moving at a reasonable pace - hopefully news of a green light for production will be forthcoming in the next few months.

BMW M1 Prototype

This maybe the BMW M1 prototype. It shows a sleek two-door, probably mid-engined coupe with attributes of the new M3 incorporated into its design, especially the front fenders and hood. With BMW introducing the M1 Hommage Concept at the Concorso d'Eleganza at Villa d'Este last week. However, we hope that this is not a photoshopped image.

BMW M1 concept

In conjunction to the 30th anniversary of the BMW M1, BMW rolled out the new BMW M1 Hommage, a concept/design study that pays tribute to the original M1 and shows what could be possible if BMW were to produce a new mid-engined sports car.

The greatest departure is seen in front, where BMW has given the M1 Hommage a sinister, imposing face. The BMW M1 is designed with four round headlights lurk behind thin slits in the front fascia. There is no interior picture for the M1 yet. Besides that, BMW doesn't mention about the specific powertrain possibilities
