The 2011 Ford mustang will be a carry over model in the refreshed version this year with a few signifigant changes happening underneath the hood. New engine selections for the 2011 Mustang incorporate a new 400 horsepower 5.0-liter motor and a new Duratec 3.7-liter V-6 engine which will replace the 4.0-liter V-6 the Mustang has used for several years. The upgrades within the engine department for the 2011 Mustang were needed to meet the need for their competitors who�ve signifigantly more horsepower within their V-8 and V-6 engines.
With a lot additional horsepower standard, the 2011 Mustang received enhancements to its chassis to maintain the outstanding balance and driving behavior Mustang owners expect. Damper tuning and spring rates were revised to provide a smooth highway ride while a brand new rear lower control arm and stiffened stabilizer bar bushings improve stiffness and handling for better cornering response.
Ford compliments the revamped 2011 Mustang engine lineup with a new group of transmissions. The 2011 base and GT models continue having a choice of manual or automatic transmission but each now has six speeds instead of five. The 2011 GT500 continues just with a six-speed manual. The 2011 Mustang also gets revised suspension tuning and larger four-wheel disc brakes. A limited-slip differential has become standard on all models. Inside a significant change, the 2011 Mustang switches to electric power steering assist. This eliminates the power- and fuel-economy-reducing drag of an engine-operated hydraulic steering pump. Otherwise, you get a morose expanse of dashboard plastic, upholstery with the tactile richness of polyester, a controls rim suited for a delivery van, and bleak-looking gauges.
In the event you purchase a 2011 Ford mustang or wait for a 2012 Ford mustang? Unless you�re a stickler for added performance no matter what, purchase the 2011 Mustang. 2011 Shelby Roush SR-71 Mustang Sold $375,000!

For the first time ever Carroll Shelby and Jack Roush are teaming up to create a one off Mustang for charity! According to a recently published article by Roush Performance, both Shelby and Roush have met with Ford Motor Company to design and engineer the 2011 SR-71 Mustang which will go up for auction at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Airventure Aviation Show. All proceeds from the auction will go to support the EAA�s Young Eagles program.
Ford Motor Company has been a proud supporter of EAA and the Young Eagles for the past 15 years by providing various vehicles and donations each year to be raffled and auctioned off. Last year Ford created the AV-X10 Mustang which sold at auction for $250,000. The year prior Ford built another one-of-a-kind Mustang for the Airventure show, the 2008 AV8R Mustang. The AV8R was named after the famous P-51 fighter plane, which played a key role in World War II as a bomber escort. It sold for an amazing $500,000! In 2006 Ford and Shelby donated a Shelby GT-H Mustang, which sold for $250,000.
The 2011 SR-71 Mustang was inspired by the SR71 "Blackbird" spy plane built by Lockheed Martin in the 60s, an airplane that holds the world record for the fastest air breathing manned aircraft in history. The SR-71 Mustang will be packed with tons of unique features including a Whipple Twin Screw Supercharger atop it's 5.0L V8 engine and Carroll's and Jack's signatures embroidered on the seats. The auction for the SR-71 Mustang will take place on July 29th at 7:30 PM CST at the EAA Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

2010 427R Mustang Installed With ROUSHcharger
The 2010 Roush 427R Mustang has just been unveiled to the public and this is the fifth version been produced with more power, a new look and improved handling. The car now gets 435 hp and 400 ft-lb of torque, with the help of the ROUSHcharger, which significantly improved intercooler setup over previous ROUSH models.
Other upgraded features includes a new bodykit which gives the car a classical sporty look and one-piece rear fascia gives the Mustang an overall cleaner look. A front fascia with integrated lights and front spoiler, a rear bumper, side skirts and three pieces custom made rear wings. The vehicle rides on 18-inch cast chrome wheels with high-performance Cooper Zeon tires, with an option to upgrade to a set of 20-inches.
This new 427R is be covered by a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty and upgrading a stock Mustang to the Roush 2010 427R Mustang will cost you about $14,000.
